Medical Specialists :

gynaecologist – treats the female reproductive and sexual organs
obstetrician – specialist delivers babies and taking care of the mother immediately after her period of pregnancy
paediatrician – specialist limits his practices to youngsters, treating of childhood maladies
dermatologist – treats skin problems and diseases
ophthalmologist (note the spelling) – eye specialist, prescribes glasses, perform surgery and treats disorders of the eye (myopia,etc)
orthopaedist – deals with skeletal structure of the body, displacement of the hip, curvature of the spine, etc
cardiologist – treats disorders of the heart and circulatory system
neurologist – treats disorders of the brain, spinal cord and the nervous system
psychiatrist – attempts to alleviate mental and emotional disturbances
